July is PEAK season in Hydra so please book your accommodation as soon as possible!
There are a number of hotels on the island, but Airbnb is also popular and there are many options available. Below we have listed a few hotels at various price points. Many hotels open for bookings in October, so please reserve your accommodations as soon as possible.
With that said, if you are looking for a hotel’s availability and it is currently showing that no rooms are available, it’s very likely that they haven’t opened their bookings yet. In that case, we recommend sending the hotel an email with your desired dates and inquiring re their availability - they are typically very responsive.
For those with accessibility concerns, the port town of Hydra (where the wedding will be) is very walkable, but it is also somewhat bowl-shaped, with many homes and hotels sitting atop the surrounding hills. While this can be great for the amazing views, if you have concerns about going up and down steps, please be sure to confirm that the hotel or Airbnb you book is easily accessible. As a general rule of thumb, the sides of the port are hilly, but the area of town behind the port is fairly flat.
We can’t stress enough how cozy and walkable the town is, but for the location optimizers in the group, here’s a map of the wedding event venues, all of which are within a five minute walk of one another:
Cocktail Reception at Amalour
Wedding Ceremony at Dormition of the Mother of Lord Hydra
Wedding Dinner + Party at Spilia
